I read the Hunger Games trilogy 💘

Image
Dear readers, Hello! How are you ? It's been a long time since I've written my last article. Summer came and went, and I (unfortunately) went back to school. Day 1, I had English language and literature (my favourite subject) with my new teacher, she announced that we would be reading (and analysing) The Hunger Games. I had been meaning to read this book, but I never quite got to it. So, the following week we start chapter 1. I am not exaggerating when I say it was love at first sight (or rather, first page). I was HOOKED. As a good student, I tried to read with the rest of the class, but they were so slow!!!!! So, since I'm only human, I took it home and finished it in a week. I ordered the next book (Catching Fire) and finished it in 4 days. And then finally, I read Mockingjay.  I think it is (tied with Harry Potter) the best book series I have ever read. Anyways, today I'm going to be writing about the first Hunger Games book. Let's gooooooo!  Summary: 16 year ol

Outfits inspired by TV characters: Pt 1

Image
Hello everyone! How are you? I love making outfits for people so today I was on Pinterest and I saw a bunch of clothes that (according to me) would definitely be worn by a certain Tv character. Well, I've been watching Gilmore Girls, and I decided to do a few outfits inspired by Lorelai Gilmore, and show the photo which inspired me. With out further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Outfits inspired by TV characters: Pt 1. 1. Red Sweater and blazer: So Lorelai wears her leather blazer very often, and with various different t-shirts, dresses and jumpers. She also wears the colour red very often, particularly in this red turtleneck. I think red looks great on her, and I love the turtleneck-blazer combo, hence this outfit.  I also picked some accessories that Lorelai wears more than once in the series suck as her necklace and handbag. Obviously there is a Luke's coffee cup because she loves coffee! coffee! coffee! 2. Chilton Drop-off: This is a forever iconic outfit of L

Things to do this summer 🌞🌷🌊🕶

Hi guys ! How's your holiday going? I'm on vacation visiting my grandparents and it tends to get a bit boring here. Not that I don't have a good time: I love seeing them and spending time with them, but entertainment is limited with a 75 year old. So, after seeing this on my friend Cosmas blog (<3) and all over YouTube shorts, I'm doing a bucket list for the summer. I made two lists, one for if you're travelling and one for if you're staying in your city. Obviously some of them are the same, like ice cream or swimming, but I tried to make it as doable as possible. This is pretty different from my usual set of content, which is usually reviews, ratings or lists, but to be honest, I get pretty bored doing those. I'm trying to do stuff that are fun for me on my blog, even if it means that I post wayyyyyy less. Anyways, let's get into our bucket list!!!! If you're travelling: 1. Eat ice cream from a cute cone (ideally fruity ice cream, but it's u

A few good men (1992)

Hi guys !  How are you? I'm fine, seeing as it's the end of year, we have more tests than ever. It is what it is. This weekend was pretty boring, we had Chinese food, did homework and read (Anne Frank's diary; it's pretty good). My mum and I really love watching films, we seriously think there should be a Holy Shrine of Movies. Anyways, I love Tom Cruise (amongst MANY others), he's great. So  we're trying to watch as many Tom Cruise films as possible, and I'm going to write about some. We watched a 1992 film called A few good men and I'm gonna write about it today. Let's go! Summary: A young lawyer for the US navy, Daniel Kaffee has been hired to handle a case about an unfortunate murder case in the US navy base in Cuba. Two young soldiers (Dawson and Downey) were accused to have murdered them. Along with his supervisor JoAnne Galloway and collleague Sam Weinberg, they are meant to defend these two boys in court. While further investigating the sit

Maze Runner

Hello everyone !  How are you? I'm good. I had my 13th birthday party on Saturday the 20th, and I invited 5 of my friends. My birthday was on the 19th of March, but due to some complications, I couldn't have it then. Anyways, I had it on the 20th of April. It was great! I had some friends over, we did Karaoke, we swam, ate Pizza and watched Maze Runner. And that's what I'm talking about today! So, without further ado, LET'S GOOOO! The Plot: So, there's this boy called Thomas, who finds himself in a mysterious town with a bunch of teenage boys. He's confused because he doesn't remember a thing. None of the other boys do either. They don't know anything about their previous lives, other than their names. They all appeared one at a time, each month for the past 3 years. They were inside a huge maze, and they lived in a village inside it. People had tried millions of ways to get out, they went into the maze, climbed walls, etc. All they had was a packa

Hello everyone! So, the title to this article is pretty vague, but let me explain. I have a really nice Harry Potter diary, which is closed with a key. Well, I am a very clumsy person (like Nymphadora Tonks) and I stain my clothes, and trip on my shoelaces and bump into trees (yes, this has actually happened). But worst of all, I lose everything, all the time. I have lost the key to this diary, or my other ones, at least 7 times. Well, I lost the key to said diary, and I haven't yet found it. My solution? You'll see 😏😜! So, in case you are not already dead from✨ the suspense ✨ , I will show you, step by step, how to pick a lock, with a hairpin (also known as a bobby pin). I got this idea because I watch way too much Mission Impossible (I'm a huge fan) and Ocean's 11. I know it sounds stupid, but I've tried, and it works! Step 1:  Get your lock and 1 bobby pin.  You probably have a bobby pin at home, so that's all you need 😉. Step 2: Pull the bottom bit of y

Women's day 2024

Hello everyone!  How are you? Happy international women's day! I  have recently been feeling very ✨ feminist  ✨ and I have absolutely zero idea why, but I thought this was a good occasion to write about this stuff. I mean, personally, I don't get how it even started, did some man just walk in and say, "I'm in charge now, ladies!" or what? I don't know, I asked google and it did not have an answer. And also why are women considered more delicate? I mean,  women  carry the babies, doesn't that make us stronger? I don't know. Anyways, here are some of my most inspiring women (not ranked).  🔥= Inspiring      🔥 🔥= Huge inspiration    🔥 🔥 🔥= BIGGEST Inspiration  1.  M arie Curie 🔥: This feels like a very nerdy person to say, but it's true. In the 1800s, women were practically owned by men, and then there was this scientist doing things no man ever did, like winning 2 Nobel prizes. And she was the first woman to be placed in the Pantheon. But, I
