What is it about?  This movie is a prequel to the famous "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". It talks about a young Willy Wonka who moves to a big city (a mix between Prague, London and Paris) to open a chocolate factory. He faces trouble because of rival chocolate makers who feel threatened by him. He finds himself in a big city, with no money, and a "hatful of dreams" to change the world through his delicious and magical chocolate.

My Opinion : It is a musical and fantasy film. I know some musical movies can feel a bit childish and  cringe, but this is different.  I watched it on Sunday and it was a bit childish but I thought it was so sweet (pun unintended). I will admit, one bit at the end made me cry a bit. It doesn't have much to do with the actual Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film, but there are Oompa-Loompas. It was honestly a really great film, with great characters, amazing songs and a pretty good story-line. 

My Rating : If I were to rate this on a scale of 1-10, I think this would be and easy 8.5/10. It's a super film and is definitely worth watching. The story-line was great but it's nothing deep or complex. It's straightforward and funny. It's not something spectacular enough to be rated a 10/10 but is still great ! 

Conclusion : Go watch Wonka as soon as you can ! And eat something sweet like caramel popcorn (after all, it is a movie about sweets !).
